Carlos Garciavelez
Carlos is an architect and interio4r designer based in New York City with a broad knowledge in the design field, with experience in interiors, architecture, furniture and urban design.
After obtaining both his Bachelor of Fine Arts & Bachelor of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design, he went on to receive a Masters of Architecture from Harvard University.
At Harvard, Carlos was awarded the prestigious Druker Fellowship and the Urban Design Thesis Prize before being invited to become a member of the Harvard faculty at the age of 28, where he taught for the next 5 years. During this time, he authored two books:

Prior to co-founding CARLOS DAVID, Carlos began his career working for interior design studio Gabellini Sheppard Associates in New York City and later for the Alexander McQueen design studio in London before establishing his own menswear brand, Garciavelez New York – which was featured in The New York Times, Vogue, GQ, Forbes, WWD, The Washington Post, among others. As a fashion designer, Carlos was awarded the GQ Emerging Designer of the Year (2017) & Samsung Up Next (2018) award.
David Lawrence
David is a New York City based interior designer, with 15 years of experience in high-end residential and commercial design.
His projects include the ground-up design and construction of homes in The Hamptons, complete gut renovations of townhouses & apartments on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, a family compound in Greenwich, Connecticut, and an estate in Barcelona, Spain.
Prior to co-founding CARLOS DAVID, David started his own eponymous design firm on New York’s Upper East Side at the age of 24. He got his first taste of professional interior design working for Bruce Bierman and prior to that, worked in the merchandising office at Giorgio Armani.
David has developed a reputation for creating elegant, bespoke interiors that focus on beautiful textures and clean lines. David’s projects have been recognized in the design field and have been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, House Beautiful, Cottages & Gardens, Domino magazine and Habitually Chic.
